Certification: It should have the JPMA logo. The Juvenile Products Manufacturing Association sets safety standards for baby products.
Extra features: Some high chairs have wheels and some are collapsible.
Materials: Plastic (and metal) high chairs are usually lighter and have more features than the wooden versions.
Stability: Make sure it’s sturdy and has a wide base. For high chairs that clamp onto a tabletop, check the clamps to make sure they are in good condition.
